Shaun Berke is a painter painter of the Venetian School. His most recent solo exhibition "Mythos & Logos" was inspired by the philosophy of Johannes Achill Niederhauser. In a lecture on the origin of thinking Johannes Achill shows the inner web of meaning that drives our history - beyond dogmatic and scholarly distinctions of a supposed shift from mythos to logos. In fact, memory, not understood as personal memory, but the memory of history itself as it continues to unfold, explode and implode, is at the heart of his thinking and the artist Shaun Berke has provided a first series of artistic instantiations of this thought that brings together memory, history as thinking.
